What stays on your device
Dose log entries (including the calculator numbers and working you choose to save with an entry), reminders, your 18+ acknowledgement, and whether you dismissed the "add to home screen" banner are saved in your browser's local storage. Calculator inputs you don't save are kept only in memory and disappear when you leave the page. To work offline, your browser also keeps a copy of VialMath's own pages and code (not your data) in its cache. None of this is sent to VialMath or anyone else. Clearing browser data, or using "Delete all my data" on the log page, removes your saved data and the offline copy and turns off the offline service. We can't recover it.
What our host may see
VialMath is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any website host, Cloudflare may log basic technical data (IP address, browser type, page requested, time) for security and operations. These logs do not contain anything you type into VialMath, but the page address shows which page was opened (for example, a guide about a medication topic). Cloudflare handles this data under its own privacy policy. Cloudflare keeps these logs for a limited time under its own retention policy.
Printing your log
"Print my log" builds the printable page in your browser from the data on your device. It isn't sent to us. If you save it as a PDF or print it, that copy is yours to keep safe.
VialMath Plus waitlist
The waitlist is not open and we don't collect email addresses. Before it opens, we'll update this page to explain exactly what we collect and how to unsubscribe.
Anonymous page counts
We count page views with our own simple counter, not a third-party analytics service. For each page and day, it stores the page address and a running total, and nothing else. It uses no cookies and stores no IP address, browser details, device ID or anything you type. It never counts the dose log or the printable log page. Visits to the calculator are counted only as a daily total, never with anything you enter. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, your visits aren't counted. Cloudflare's request logs (above) still apply to these requests.
No ads, no third-party trackers
We do not use advertising pixels, cross-site trackers, or sell or share data.
Notifications and calendar files
If you allow notifications, they are generated on your device and only appear while VialMath is open in your browser. Calendar (.ics) files are created in your browser and saved to your device; what happens after you add them is governed by your calendar app, which may sync them to its own servers. A CSV export is a file saved to your device; once you share or upload it, it leaves VialMath's control.
Washington, Nevada, and other state health-privacy laws
We don't store what you enter in the calculator, log or reminders on any server. The page counter stores only daily totals per page. Cloudflare's standard logs (above) can show that someone visited a health-topic page, and that may count as consumer health data under some state laws; we use those logs only for security and operations and keep them only as long as Cloudflare's retention period. The page counter is the only thing we store on a server, and it doesn't include anything you enter. Before we store any health information you enter, we will publish a Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy and ask for your consent first.
